In 1988, Peter attained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky College of Law.  Before college and law school, Peter worked as a deckhand on barges on the rivers of Mississippi, Ohio, Illinois and in the Louisiana intracoastal waterways   He also enjoyed a period of time as an electrician's helper in New Orleans, LA.   He is married with one son.  He plays a mean guitar and enjoys carpentry as a hobby.

Peter Naake began his legal career as an attorney  with the Appalachian Research and Defense Fund in Jackson, Kentucky.  He worked as a litigation and appeals attorney with the workers’ compensation Special Fund.  Prior to joining Priddy, Cutler, Miller & Meade, PLLC, Peter had a general practice representing individuals in litigation, real estate transactions, probate, social security disability, small business, estate planning, bankruptcy and domestic relations.

  • Peter is currently a member of the Regulatory Advisory Committee which advises the Commissioner of the DWC in drafting new regulations in workers' compensation matters, he has written several Amicus Curiae briefs to the Kentucky Supreme Court, and he helps in monitoring and advocating before the Kentucky legislature regarding changes in statutory law.
